South American native Watermelon Peperomia has foliage colored just like watermelons. Round silver leaves with pointed ends are banded with a nice, rich green radiating out from an off center dot on the leaf where the red stems attach on the undersides. The green stripes have some branchy little points on them just to add interest. Tiny little clear cells on the leaf surfaces make twinkly sparkles seen up close. Leaves begin as cute little circles and as they grow larger, the weight of the leaves makes them lean down a bit making them a little bit gangly as they mature, adding to the fun. Expect 8" to 12" size when all grown up.
