Beautiful Philodendron Melanochrysum is a rare beauty that looks like a large scale Micans, luminous and glowing, moony, velvety leaves of dusky, pine green suffused with burgundy overall. "Melanochrysum" means black gold, for the magical gold sparkles on the leaves if you look closely, so worth the peek. A ghostly, whitish midrib and veins and a muted burgundy/purple underleaf with pale stems complete the look. Growing very tall as it climbs, loving support and someone to lean on like we all do. A sturdy pole will do nicely when the time comes. A moss pole, able to be damp for the climby roots to burrow into, will make it feel at home as if leaning on a dripping jungle tree again. The leaves get truly huge, as long as 2' in their long elegant arrow or heart shapes. It will always be looking at you with the leaves all facing you with their backs to the wall. This is a wonderful plant, and easy to propagate when your plant gets big enough. You'll want everyone to have one too.
