5" Grafted Lactea Crest

We have run out of stock for this item.

Lactea Crest is a mutant plant monster. You take an unassuming, simple Euphorbia column minding its own business, cut a V shaped notch in it and graft on a flat, loopy cactus wall all rippled and prickled with soft colored points, actual little thorns, and tiny flowers. He comes in milky colors of pale greens, silvery greys, and rosy pinks hence the name "Lactea", Latin for milky. The crazy, cresty, wavy shape would look quite at at home on a coral reef under the sea. Needless to point out, no two crests are the same, each is its own Monster. Many cacti will mutate into crested forms, unique and rare to say the least, which makes them sought after and crazy popular (and expensive). Everyone should have their own house monster. He'll be a conversation starter anywhere you put him! Watch it, they can reach 3' tall after a long time.
        • Drought Tolerant
        • Low Maintenance

        Quick Care Guide:

          • Water - Low (1):  Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
          • High - (5):  Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
          • Difficulty - Low (1):  These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
