Hybrid Curly Slim is at home in soil or hanging in midair. This here one is a terrestial being (we do have one bareroot as a true "air plant" too) with a nice, strong, well established root system. In the air those same roots would be reaching out grasping and grabbing onto mossy tree branches holding on for dear life. Loving the steamy. misty, drizzly and downright rainy conditions in the jungle, your Curly will love misting in your home, in your pot too as well as the occasional watering of the soil and light feeding of a Tillandsia friendly food too (not getting much leaf debris, bird droppings, leafy detritus it snags from its perch in the jungle to feed on). It sure is curly! Ours starts out as a single, soft grey over a pale green colored plant, straight up and with long, skinny, curving leaves that look like tendrils with a nice, round curl that spirals as it gets going at each end. A bit like an octopus. It can get up to 2' in height, really mature plants have more and more fanciful curls and corkscrews all the time until you sometimes can't tell where the original plant is at all. In your pot, the main plant will get taller and taller, each leaf effecting a perfect, round curlicue, not minding at all if it touches and overlaps its neighbor. As with all air plants, it blooms, a tall flower spike rising out of the top as a branching reddish spike with paler pink tips and elusive little, bright, two shades of purples flowers with tiny, yellow inner flower parts sticking out of the ends coming out of the main stalk. The flower stalk will rebloom on this Tillandsia, too.

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
