6" Alocasia 'Low Rider'

$27.99
Low Rider, sittin low in his pot, cruising and listening to some real loud R&B, is a dwarf Alocasia reaching around 2' to 3' tall and wide, max. Thick and meaty stems hold really big, bumpy, waffly arrowhead leaves in a nice saturated emerald green. Prominent, lighter green veins look like they are a size too small, pulling the leaves too tight, making those bumpy waffles. Leaves are splayed out flat, circling the stem and each pointing out from the center, always balanced, always self-assured. Immigrant parents coming originally from Asian tropical riverbeds and forest floors, this guy was born in a greenhouse, a Portora hybrid. Easygoing and laidback, put him in a nice low pot or basket on the floor and play him some Marvin Gaye now and then.
  • Toxic: All parts of plant are toxic. Keep away from children and pets.

Quick Care Guide:

  • Water - Med/High (4):  Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
  • Light - Medium (3):  Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
  • Difficulty - Medium (3):  Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
