6" Amaryllis

We have run out of stock for this item.

Amaryllis was dubbed "knight's star" in the early 1800's by botanist and author of many Amaryllis papers, William Herbert. This noble knight was first cultivated as early as 1799. Our pot full is a big, bold emerald green stem, emerging from a big, bold bulb with emerald green, strappy and gracefully bending leaves. The flowers are a spectacular circle of big, bold trumpet-shaped lily blooms. These ones we are featuring for the holidays are a brilliant, glorious red. First from South America, this lily is a tropical jungle knight. He blooms just forever, then often goes right ahead and reblooms for you. Planted in the garden it may just bloom again next year; producing little bulb offsets to multiply if you're lucky.
