6" Begonia, Cracklin Rosie

$29.00

She's named, of course, for the Neil Diamond song, by plant inventor Walter Dworkin in 1990. Pendulous angel-wing leaves grow on upright, lime green, jointy stems: ripply, jaggedy paisleys with pointy tips that point this way, then that way. They're painted bronzy, olive green spattered with pinky/white, soft oval spots, veins deeply indented. Red undersides, actually, red is all over the place, glowing through the leaves and flashing scarlet when her leaves curl and curve up and show her fancy underneaths. Usually touted as a cane Begonia getting around 3' tall or so, one California grower reports her Rosie is 6" tall. She's super easy to propagate from stem cuttings anytime. Totally unneccessary in a plant this gorgeous is the extra fun of little custers of pink flowers, when she wants to.
