Not too sure why he's a moneymaker, no one's saying, but this created hybrid Jade is a beauty. Growing like you'd expect being a Jade, like little, stubby, prehistoric trees, the main difference is the size. Moneymaker's a slow grower, still eventually making those trees but only up to 12" or so, more like bonsai dinosaur trees. He likes to spread. He looks like your usual Jade, bright, fat and fleshy, oval leaves, opposite pairs crowding on their fat stems, cupped and reaching upwards. A beautiful blanket of colors, the leaves are sage/mint green each framed with a wide, rich cream splash, the very edges outlined in a brightest red along the tips. The whole plant is covered in silver velvet fur, helping the plant protect against frost, excess sunlight, slowing moisture loss and collecting and holding water from the air. Beautiful and useful, the velvet gives the plant a soft and velvety look. Flowers are on the tops of the treelets, white simple 6 point blossoms with smells described as either sweet jasmine, honey or fusty, we suppose each plant chooses its own personal perfume.
Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Low (1): Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
- High - (5): Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
