The Never Never plant comes to us from Brazilian rainforests. The long oval leaves are green, wildly slashed with cream with pretty wine colored undersides. Tall, stiff stems hold the leaves horizontally, poking out in all directions. Overall size of this relative of the prayer plant will be around 18" by 18". Like all members of the Maranta family, Ctenanthes need humidity and do best with distilled water.
