Colorama is a beautiful version of our Dracaena Marginata we all know and love, developed and patented in 1976 by a Japanese plant inventor. Like the Marginata it mutated from, you start out with a pot of fountain sprays of narrow, soft and silky to the touch, thin blades reaching for the sky. Ours have multi plants together in the pot for max fullness. Older plants grow just like the regular old Marginata, shedding lower leaves as they mature, exposing the usual pale grey Marginata canes and growing tall in their lifetime, to the same heights as a specimen plant up to 6" and maybe more, but slowly. Again, multi plants of differing heights in the pot create the drama. Those leaves are colored with pinky-red striped edges and 2 green stripes on each blade center, not varying very much. Some Coloramas can be most intensely colored and some in lovely, lighter pastels. As a gorgeous little member of the Asparagus family, of all things, Colorama is able to bloom, but we've never seen it!
