Pink Butterfly. That's because the first thing you see is a million tiny, rosy pink butterflies that landed on every leaf edge so closely they completely obscure much else. The butterflies are actually teeny, baby plantlets, the way the plant reproduces. From strong, central stems radiate sightly folded, couple of inches long, succulent leaves in a grey/green decorated with regular burgundy/purply lines and dots. Each stem is able to reach an ultimate 3' tall, shedding some bottom leaves to show their skinny legs (stems), but the amazing thing about this plant is those butterflies! They jump off the plant readily, launching themselves in search of any nearby soil to land on and root and grow up to be a new plant in its own right, often just under the mother plant in the same soil. This pink version is a hybrid, so the butterflies take a little more time to root than the green one, having less chlorophyll and more pink. Flowers are small and pink, too.
- Low Maintenance
- Drought Tolerant
Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Low (1): Needs very little water to survive. Wait until the plant is completely dry then fully soak. Drought tolerant by nature.
- Light - High (5): Plant needs a lot of light; direct is even better. These plants do best when placed on a window sill or next to a bright window. Avoid concentrated, hot light from window which may cause burning (magnifying glass effect).
- Difficulty - Low (1): These plants need barely any attention to thrive. Set it and forget it.
