Philodendron Narrow Green is another of the new and exciting narrow leaf varieties appearing on the scene lately. With this guy, you take soft, shiny, lovely, green leaves like long lances poking and lashing out in all directions and add fancy, toothy, fishhooky edges and you get the idea. Bunchy and kind of full when young he's actually a slow climber type with leaves that can reach a length of 2' to 3', the older the leaves the toothier. Support him with a sturdy moss pole for a taller look or let him go his own way; the older the plant the more of his personality he shows. Fat and fleshy, pale green spears rise from the center and slowly unroll to fragile, shiny, lime green, baby leaves that toughen up to deep emerald with deeply indented midribs and clearly defined side veins. Cut leaves look dramatic in a vase for a simple floral arrangement, and last forever. Narrow Green is so easy care you should get one just to show off your horticultural skills!
