6" Pothos, Treubii Moonlight

$68.00

Glowing Moonlight in the jungles of its native Malaysia and Java, this Scindapsus bears the name Treubii in honor of a 19th century botanist in Java. Super full and lush in the pot, the sturdy, Pothos shaped leaves (it's not a Pothos but sometimes called one) come close together on their jointy, silver stems. Leaves are a luminous, deep silver with a deep, pine green midrib in the fold and variable green edges with soft tracings of green veins spidering out to the edges. A dark version (all deep green and unique) of this plant was discovered in a Thailand greenhouse by a plant breeder in 1999. Moonlight will trail, leaves arranging themselves alternately on their stems right and left beautifully. Some sources say it can reach more than 8' long with the leaves growing huge with age and some support. He does loves to climb.

Quick Care Guide:

  • Water - Low/Med (2):  Doesn't need as much water, but doesn't like to stay dry for too long. Plant will become droopy when really thirsty.
  • Light - Low/Med (2):  These plants need some diffused light to stay happy. Prefers if there is a window in the room, but doesn't need to be very light nor close to it.
  • Difficulty - Low/Med (2):  A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
