This Mini Monster is often mistaken for a relative of the Monstera Deliciosa but this little Monster is its own plant. Identified in 1893 in Thailand by Joseph Hooker, it has been coveted as a houseplant ever since. Glossy, large leaves of fresh green sprout from thick stems which just love to climb trees. Supported by a pole, in a pot, in your home, you can expect the leaves to get big and develop fun splits and round holes. Unlike some lookalikes, this guy starts right out splitting leaves like crazy as a youngster. Once, a rare yellow variegated Mini Monstera sold for $8000, setting a record for being the most expensive houseplant ever sold. Bring home your own little Monster!
