Of course when you see the name Dalmation, you think spots like the spots on a Dalmation dog, and spots this plant has. A hybrid coming from the prolific greenhouses of Asia, Dalmation traces its roots originally from the basic, good old, dark green Commutatum. This guy has deep, even green leaves, all a uniform size of 8-12" long, around 3-5" inches wide, with a lots of a medium pink specks and blobs and a pink midrib. Just two colors and not much variation in the shades of just green and pink. The whole plant will get to around 3' wide and tall. With all that nice green in the leaves, you can put it where you want, it can tolerate some lower light, but of course, wants brighter if it can get it. Put Dalmation near some ferns with their bright lime greens or any other pinky colored plants you have. He likes company.

- Water - Medium (3): Water plant when dry. Plant does not like soil to always be moist, but doesn't like to stay dry once becomes dry. Water as soon as soil is dry.
- Light - Medium (3): Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
- Difficulty - Medium (3): Not too difficult to keep happy, but does require some attention.
