The most grand Staghorn Grande is one of two Stags native to the Phillippines, where they have been so overcollected they have made the critically endangered list. Breeding programs in greenhouses are underway and responsible for the Grandes we have today. The big, impressive shield is the real star here with older plants sprouting crowns with frilly finger tops reaching skyward. Long, forking, antler-shaped hands hang straight down and, as if we needed more, some very mature specimens will grow a flouncy and wavy skirt over the lower hands, decorated with solid areas of cinnamon colored spores. At home on a wood plaque, wire basket, or pot, this epiphyte is super easy care with water when dry, bright light, and just something to hold on to (don't we all?)

Quick Care Guide:
- Water - Med/High (4): Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
- Light - Med/High (4): Needs more light than most, but direct light not necessary. Can handle morning and afternoon sun directly on leaves.
- Difficulty - Low/Med (2): A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
